Pastor Wanz (Wania Taiepa) and his wife Edna left Rotorua, New Zealand in 2008 to pursue a better and brighter lifestyle within the gold mines of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Leaving New Zealand not only meant leaving family and friends but also leaving the Elim Church in Murupara where we began attending from 1991 after a miraculous encounter with Jesus.

Leaving Murupara in 2005, we moved to Rotorua and attended "Harvest Church' for two years.

 In March 2008 we moved to Kalgoorlie WA to work in the Goldmines, our intensions were to become "wealthy" within 5 years and then return back to NZ.

We had become active members of "Church West" Kalgoorlie, and enjoyed the interaction with all the different cultures within the Church.

In 2010 God asked Wanz to start a Church and gave the name "Rock of Ages Christian Church", thus having to leave our beloved Church where we had made so many great friends. 

Rock of Ages Christian Church opened in March 2010 and Pastor Wanz was ordained in 2011 by Pastor Paul and Karen Groot, New Beginings Church, Rotorua NZ.

The Church is actively involved within the Community and Goldfields area, many people have given their lives to Christ or recommitted themselves back to Jesus. We throughly enjoy serving our King of King, Lord of Lords.
